A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO PUBLISH AN
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CANNON ROAD WEST
REACH 1 WATER AND RECYCLED WATER TRANSMISSION
MAINS AND COLLECTOR SEWER FOR SOUTH AGUA
HEDIONDA INTERCEPTOR SEWER, CMWD PROJECT NOS.
88-602 AND 92-406, CONTRACT NO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has
determined it necessary and in the public interest to approve the plans and
specification and to authorize publishing an advertisement for bids for the Cannon
Road West Reach 1 Water and Recycled Water Transmissions Mains and Collector
Sewer for South Agua Hedionda Interceptor Sewer, CMWD Project Nos. 88-602 and
92-406; and
WHEREAS, funds appropriated in the 1997/98 Budget for the Sewer
Zone Program for the South Agua Hedionda Interceptor Phase I in the amount of
$374,400 as of May 31, 1998, are available, therefor, there are sufficient funds
available for this project; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the Cannon Road West
Reach 1 Water and Recycled Water Transmission Mains and Collector Sewer for
South Agua Hedionda Interceptor Sewer, CMWD Project Nos. 88-602 and 92-406
have been prepared by the District engineering staff with a cost estimate of
$185,000 for the collector sewer portion of the total project which are available for
review in the Engineering Department of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, authorization is hereby granted by the City Council to
publish an Invitation to Bid in accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal
Code.

NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans and specifications and cost estimate of $185,000
submitted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff which are on
file with the Carlsbad Municipal Water District Engineering Department are
incorporated herein by reference and are accepted.
3. That the City Clerk be authorized to publish an Invitation to Bid in
accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on 23rd day of June 1
19 98 , by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall
NOES: None
