A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE 1998 NORTHWEST QUADRANT 4
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
CURB RAMP INSTALLATION, PROJECT NO. 3523-3.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined
6 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to retrofit sidewalk curbs at intersections to brin!
them into compliance with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and 7
8 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, material, tools
9 equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental for said project have bee1

incorporated by reference herein. 11

12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbac

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents as presented are hereb
approved.
16 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publist
in accordance with State law, Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the 1998 Northwe: 17
