RESOLUTION NO. 98-230
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR STRUCTURAL FIRE FIGHTING
WHEREAS, Specifications were developed for Protective Clothing for Structural
Fire Fighting; and
WHEREAS, Section 3.28.090 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code provides that
materials and services costing over twenty-five thousand dollars which can be obtained
from only one vendor do not require bidding;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. That the City Council approves the Agreement for Furnishing Protective
Clothing for Structural Fire Fighting and the Purchasing Officer is hereby
authorized to execute a Purchase Order for these items as the need arises
for a period of one year beginning July 15, 1998 through July 14, 1999 which
may be renewed by the City Manager for three (3) additional one (I) year
periods, with revised prices to be set after mutual agreement at each renewal.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad held on the 14th day of July , 1998, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
