RESOLUTION NO. 98-238
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING
A DONATION OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE
ALLSTATE FOUNDATION FOR THE DARE PROGRAM
5 WHEREAS, The Allstate Foundation donated two thousand dollars for the City of Carlsbad
6 Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program (DARE) ; and
7 WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to accept this donation; and
WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to appropriate the donation funds to purchase 8
equipment and classroom supplies for the DARE Program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
10 California, as follows:
11 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accept the donation of two thousand dollars on behalf of the 12
l3 citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
14 3. That the City Council appropriate the funds to purchase equipment and classroom
15 supplies for the DARE Program.
16 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
17 held on the 14th day of July , 1998 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall 18
NOES: None
ABSENT: None 19
