RESOLUTION NO. 98-245
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, INCORPORATING THE COASTAL
COMMISSION’S SUGGESTED MODIFICATIONS INTO THE
AVIARA MASTER PLAN AND CITY’S LOCAL COASTAL
PROGRAM FOR AVIARA PHASE Ill NORTH, LOCATED IN THE
SOUTHWEST QUADRANT.

CASE NO.: MP 177(Z)/LCPA 97-06(A)
WHEREAS, on January 6, 1998, the City Council held a duly noticed put
hearing to consider a Master Plan Amendment (MP 177(U)) and a Local Coastal Progri
Amendment (LCPA 97-06(A)) for Aviara Phase Ill North; and
MODIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, on June 9, 1998, the California Coastal Commission approved Si
Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA 97-06) with Suggested Modifications; and
WHEREAS, these Coastal Commission Suggested Modifications must
incorporated into the Master Plan and Local Coastal Program to maintain consistency betwe
the Aviara Master Plan and the Local Coastal Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on the 21st cfay
July s 1998, held a public hearing to consider said recommendations and heard
persons interested in or opposed to MP 177(Z) and LCPA 97-06(A); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the C
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Suggested Modifications are consistent with the City
Carlsbad’s Local Coastal Program.
3. That the acceptance of the proposed Suggested Modifications by the (
Council is necessary to effectuate the Local Coastal Program Amendments
accordance with Section 13544.5 of Title 14 of the California Code
Regulations.

Carlsbad on the 21st day of July 1998, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hal
