II RESOLUTION NO. 98-262
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF ROMERIA/
LA COSTA AVENUE, VIEJO CASTILWLA COSTA AVENUE
AND CADENClAlLA COSTA AVENUE, PROJECT NO. 3610.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determined i
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct a traffic signal at the intersections c
RomeriaILa Costa Avenue, Viejo CastillaILa Costa Avenue and CadenciaILa Costa Avenue
Project No. 3610; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, material, took
equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental of said project have bee
prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and ar
incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, funding from gas tax, includes sufficient funds to construct this project an
said project is included in the 1998199 Capital Improvement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents as presented are hereb:
approved.

3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed tc
publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction o
traffic signals at the intersections of Romeria/La Costa Avenue, Viejo Castillal La Costa Avenue
& Cadencia/La Costa Avenue, Project No. 3610, in accordance with the plans, specifications
and contract documents referred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Counc
held on the 4th day of August , I998 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall
NOES: None
