RESOLUTION NO. 98-307
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING COUNCIL MEMBER
KULCHIN AND A STAFF REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT TO ATTEND THE AMERICAN SHORE AND
BEACH PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION 1998 NATIONAL
CONFERENCE IN GALVESTON, TEXAS ON OCTOBER 4-7,1998.
6 WHEREAS, the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association 1998 National
7 Conference will be held in Galveston, Texas on October 4-7, 1998; and
8 WHEREAS, the City believes it will be valuable for a Council Member and a staff
9 representative from the Public Works Department to attend this conference; and
10 WHEREAS, funds are available in the amount of $1,600 in the FY 1998-99 Council and
11 Public Works Department budgets.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
13
from the Public Works Department to travel out of state to attend this conference. 14
California that permission is granted to Council Member Ann Kulchin and a staff representative
15
16 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
17 held on the 15 th day of September , 1998 by the following vote, to wit:
18 AYES: Council Members Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin & Hall
19 NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Lewis
