RESOLUTION NO. 98-320
I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING INDIVIDUAL FINANCIAL
TOTALING FORTY THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED ($40,200) DOLLARS
IN SUPPORT OF THE 1998 CARLSBAD TRIATHLON.
CONTRIBUTIONS, PRODUCT DONATIONS AND IN-KIND SERVICES

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, supports the
annual Carlsbad Triathlon and Beach Festival produced by the City's Recreation
7 Department; and

WHEREAS, the annual Carlsbad Triathlon was held the weekend of July 1 lth
and 12" 1998; and

13 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these donations and acknowledge
14 the generosity and support of community vendors and organizations who donated to

this special event.

18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
19 I Carlsbad, California, the following:
20 I. That the above recitations are true and correct.
21 2. That the City Council does hereby accept the merchandise, services and
22

financial support totaling forty thousand, two hundred dollars. ($40,200)
3. That $2,250 is here by appropriated to the Recreation special revenue fund

4. That $4,000 is here by appropriated to the Recreation special revenue fund
1495002 7899.

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 6th day of October , 1998, by the
following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, and Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Kulchin
