A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE CITY OF CARLSBAD'S
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING ADVISORY
COMMITTEE FOR PROGRAM YEAR 1999-2000.
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan for Carlsbad's Community Development Bloc

(CDBG) Program specifies the formation of a seven member citizen advisory committee 1
seven members to the CDBG Funding Committee with the following representation: one 9
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan further specifies that the City Council shall 8
recommendations regarding CDBG finding allocations to the City Council; and

Commissioner, one Planning Commissioner, one Senior Commissioner, and four citizens-at-la1
from each City Quadrant); and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council appointed seven members to the Advisory Committee for 1

WHEREAS, Senior Commissioner Mildred West has expressed a willingness to servt 15
the Committee for the second year of his term; and 14
terms on January 6, 1998 and the member representing the Senior Commission has declined to I
representative on the CDBG Funding Advisory Committee for Program Year 1999-2000. 20
2. That the City Council has appointed Mildred West to serve as the Senior Commission 19
1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 17
Advisory Committee.
21 3. That the appointment of all remaining Advisory Committee Members are reaffirmed
22 Program Year 1999-2000.
