2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
PROJECT NO. 3590.

ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ARENAL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION, 4
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
5
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has deterrr
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to undertake reconstruction work on Arenr 6
7 west of El Camino Real; and
8 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad has determined 1
9 project is in conformance to the City of Carlsbad General Plan; and
10 WHEREAS, the project is a minor alteration of an existing street and invol
expansion of use, nor involves the removal of any scenic resource and, under Sections
and 15301 (c) CAC, is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Envirol
Quality Act; and

13 WHEREAS, the plans, specifications, and contract documents for furnishing of a
14
been prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad 15
materials, tools, equipment, transportation and other expenses or incidental for said proje
16 incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available to construct the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of C8

20 2. That the plans, specifications and contract documents as presented are

1 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to

in accordance with State law, Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the Arena
Reconstruction, Project No. 3590.
4 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City

6 AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard and Kulchin
held on the 12th day of JanuarY , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
