RESOLUTION NO. 99-41
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
REFUNDING BUSINESS TAX OVERPAYMENTS
TO STANDARD FILTER CORPORATION
WHEREAS, in September 1998 the Finance Departm
received a request for refund of business license tax from Standard Fi
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Department engaged the service:
Capuchino & Associates to identify the nature and amount of the busin
license tax overpayments; and
WHEREAS, the audit performed by Capuchino & Associc
determined the company overpaid business license tax to the City and I
concurs with the audit findings; and
WHEREAS, Standard Filter Corporation owes the City busin
license tax for the company’s current renewal period; and
WHEREAS, the renewal amount, applied against the amour
overpayment, results in a net refund due to the company of $26,361.92.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED

SECTION 2. That a refund of $26,361.92 to Standard Fi
Corporation is authorized for overpayments of business license taxes.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Counci
the City of Carlsbad at its regular meeting held on the 9th day of February
1999, by the following vote, to wit:
