RESOLUTION NO. 99-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING AN INFOPEOPLE GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
STATE LIBRARY
~ WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library offers public access to the Internet at the
Main and Branch libraries; and
WHEREAS, the library now wishes to add Internet access at the Centro de
Inforrnacion; and
WHEREAS, the California State Library has awarded Carlsbad a $6,000
InFoPeople grant to purchase necessary computer hardware for two Internet
workstations, including modems, a networked printer; and access charges;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts a federal Library Services and Technology
Act (LSTA) grant through the California State Library in the
amount of $6,000 and hereby authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate these
funds to the library’s InFoPeople Grant account.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Counci
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 23rd day o
March , 1999, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, ard and Kulc
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Finn
