RESOLUTION NO. 99-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL GRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,150 AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR VISITING ARTIST PERFORMANCES, YAELISA & SOLERA FLAMENCO DANCE COMPANY AND PERLA BATALLA AND ENSEMBLE
WHEREAS, one of City Council’s 1999 goals for the Arts Office is to “offer comml
wide, multi-cultural events...”; and
WHEREAS, the Arts Commission recommends a minimum of two visiting artist pros
be held in FY 1998/99 to fulfill this goal; and
WHEREAS, the California Arts Cou.ncil provides partial funding for artists listed c
touring program and has awarded the City of Carlsbad $6,150 in grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbar
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the California Arts Council grants in the amount of $6,150 are hereby
3. That the grant money is herebyappropriated into the Arts Office’s State Grani Miscellaneous Outside Services account for the uses described herein.
