RESOLUTION NO. 99-118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A $1 0,000 DONATION FROM THE AVIARA COMMUNITY FUND FOR THE CARLSBAD ART GALLERY
WHEREAS, City Council’s 1999 goals for the Arts Off ice is to “generate sponsorsh
programs and events” as well as “offer comunity-wide, multicultural events ...; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Art Galleryk’dedicated to featuring quality local and nat
exhibitions of art and culture for public enjoyment and education; and
WHEREAS, the Aviara Community Fund is donating $10,000 to the City of Carlsbad
Office for the Carlsbad Art Gallery at the new Library; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to supplement funding for the operation, exhibit
and educational programming at the Gallery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbac
follows:
1. That the above recitations are.true and correct.
2. That the donation of $1 0,000 from the Aviara Community Fund for the Art Galk hereby accepted. 3. That the $1 0,000 is hereby appropriated into the Arts Office’s Gallery Donatio Miscellaneous Outside Services account for the uses described herein.
