RESOLUTION NO. 99-143
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE I999 PAVEMENT OVERLAY
PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 3667-2.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determine'
6 (1 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to resurface asphalt streets with an asp
7 j/ overlay; and
8 '' WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, material, to'
9 equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental for said project have bc

prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and
incorporated by reference herein;
12 WHEREAS, sufficient TransNet appropriations are available to complete the project;
13 WHEREAS, CMWD has entered into a Utility Construction Agreement with the City, wt
was adopted in a joint agenda bill, CMWD Resolution No. 1042 and City Resolution No. 99-
which provides for reimbursement to the City for the relocation andlor reconstruction of CM'
owned facilities;

16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsb
17 California, as follows:
18 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
19 2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents as presented are hen
20 approved.

in accordance with State law, Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the 1999 Pavement Ovel
Project, Project No. 3667-2.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Cou
held on the 21th day of April , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
