RESOLUTION NO. 99-147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A $500 DONATION FROM NAOMI A. AND ALAN F. MARBLESTONE FOR THE CARLSBAD ART GALLERY
WHEREAS, the Gallery, which will be located in the new Carlsbad Library will add
the City Council’s educational and cultural goals as well as implement the goals of the Gel
Plan, and
WHEREAS, a Gallery Committee was established to develop operational and fl
raising plans, to program the new Gallery and to oversee the working of the Gallery; and
WHEREAS, the Gallery Committee and Arts Office intend to supplement city fundin
the Gallery with funding from outside sources; individual, corporate and foundation contributi
and
WHEREAS, Naomi A. And Alan F. Marblestone have donated $500 towards the Ga
which will be used for operating and exhibition expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbac
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the donation of $500 from Mr. And Mrs. Alan Marblestone for the Art Gallel hereby accepted. 3. That the $500 is hereby appropriated into the Arts Office’s Gallery Donations
Miscellaneous Outside Services account for the uses described herein.
