RESOLUTION NO. 99-233
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING
OF THE ENCINA WASTEWATER AUTHORITY
THE 1999-2000 FISCAL YEAR OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is a member agency to the Encina Joint PC
Agreement entered into on July 13, 1961, for the acquisition, construction, ownership, ope1
and maintenance of the Encina Joint Sewer System; and
WHEREAS, the Encina Agreement requires approval for the budget of the E1
Wastewater Authority (EWA) by the Member Agencies following the recommendation o
Joint Advisory Committee (JAC); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad desires to approve said budge
provide for the payment of its share such expenses in accordance with the allocation provid
the Basic Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Carlsba
Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the Fiscal Year 1999-2000 Operating Budget of the EWA as approved by
on May 26, 1999, in the amount of Six Million, One Hundred Ninety Eight Thousand, 1
Hundred Forty Five Dollars ($6,198,345) is hereby approved.
2. That the City of Carlsbad’s share of the EWA 1999-2000 Fiscal Year Oper
Budget is One Million, Five Hundred Forty Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety S
Dollars ($1,543,797).
3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment on behalf of the Ci
Carlsbad to EWA in accordance with the budget as approved by JAC pursuant to the EI
Basic Agreement.
4. That this resolution shall be forwarded to EWA immediately upon its executic
