RESOLUTION NO. 99-247
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
CASH DONATION OF SIX HUNDRED SIXTY ONE DOLLARS IN SUPPORT OF
THE OPPORTUNITY GRANTS SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
WHEREAS, the Opportunity Grants Program began the week of June 1, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has received a cash donation of six
hundred sixty one dollars ($661) from the Carlsbad Youth Baseball Association (Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended acceptance of this
donation by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this donation and acknowledge the
generosity and support of the community individuals and organizations who donate to this
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, the following:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept the financial support totaling six
hundred sixty one dollars ($661) and authorizes the Finance Director to
appropriate the above funds for the specified use.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, held on thelL day of July , 1999, by the following vote to wit:
