RESOLUTION NO. 99-270
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, FOR AWARD OF
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR CHINQUAPIN SEWER
CMWD PROJECT NO. 97-401; CONTRACT NO. 34941
LIFT STATION, 6-INCH FORCE MAIN AND 8-INCH SEWER,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has previousl!
authorized the advertisement for bids for the Chinquapin Sewer Lift Station, 6-Inch Force Main, and 8-Inch Sewer, CMWD Project No. 97-401-Contract No. 34941; and
WHEREAS, seven (7) sealed bids were received June 17, 1999 for said project; anc
WHEREAS, bid documents received from all bidders have been reviewed in deta
and the City Council does hereby find that the lowest responsive, responsible bid receive1
for the construction of said project was submitted by Ahrens Corporation in the amount c
$345,000; and
WHEREAS, Sewer Replacement funds appropriated in the 1998/99 and 1999/2001
Budget for sewer line replacement in the amount of $396,820 are available; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbac
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the bid amount in the amount of $345,000 submitted by Ahrens
Corporation is hereby accepted, and the Mayor is hereby authorize1
and directed to execute the agreement.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the Cit of Carlsbad, California held on 3 rd day of Auqust I- 1999, by the followin
vote to wit:
