2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CANNON 4
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
ROADICARLSBAD BOULEVARD PROJECT. PROJECT NO. 3671.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determine(
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Cannon RoadICarls~
Boulevard project; and

8 WHEREAS, the Planning Director has issued a Notice of Prior Compliance
June 14, 1999 that satisfies the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; and 9
10 WHEREAS, a Coastal Development Permit has been approved by the Planr
11 Commission on August 4, 1999; and
12 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tot
equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental for said project have bc
prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and
incorporated by reference herein; and

16 WHEREAS, funding for construction of said project is included in the I99912000 Cay
17 I I Improvement Program.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlst
I’ California, as follows:
20 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
21 2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents as presented are herc
22 approved.

3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to pub1

in accordance with State law, Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
Cannon Road/Carlsbad Boulevard Project, Project No. 3671.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Cou

held on the 10 day of Auqust , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
