RESOLUTION NO. 99-4,58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM FIELDSTONE COMMUNITIES, INC.
WHEREAS, the William D. Cannon Art Gallery’s inaugural exhibition is “The FieldL
Collection: Impressionism in Southern California”; and
WHEREAS, Fieldstone Communities, Inc. is donating an artwork valued at $18,000 tl
City in conjunction with the inaugural exhibition; and
WHEREAS, the artwork is an 18” x 24” plein air painting depicting the Carlsbad
station, entitled, “Landmark” by painter Sam Hyde Harris; and
WHEREAS, the artwork is currently on-display at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbac
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the donation of the artwork entitled, “Landmark” valued at $1 8,000 from Fieldstone Communities, Inc. is hereby accepted.
