RESOLUTION NO. 99-491
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CARLSBAD BOULEVARD PARKING
AT PONTO BEACH. PROJECT NO. 3618.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determine
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct parallel parking along the west sid
Carlsbad Boulevard at Ponto Beach from the bridge at Batiquitos Lagoon to 800 feet nortt
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Director has determined that this project is categorically exe
from the provisions of Sections 15301 (c) of the Guidelines of the California Environme
Quality Act, and the Planning Commission has approved Coastal Development Pe
CDP-98-77; and
WHEREAS, there will be no significant unmitigable effect, not analyzed therein; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, material, tc
equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental for said project have IC
prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and
incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program for 1999-2000 has appropriated fund
construct this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsl
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents as presented are he;
approved.

3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed
publish, in accordance with State law, Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the constructiol
Carlsbad Boulevard Parking at Ponto Beach, Project No. 3618.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City COL
held on the 9th day of NOVEMBER , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard, and Kulchin
