A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING SOLID WASTE SERVICES RATES

WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is responsible for the provision of solid waste,

designated recyclables and yard waste collection services to promote the safety, health, ar
general welfare of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad may contract for these services; and
8 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has contracted with Waste Management, Inc. for s
g waste, designated recyclables and yard waste collection services within the City; and
10 WHEREAS, Waste Management is in the business of collecting solid waste, design;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad 15
rates for roll-off boxes is necessary at this time. 14
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined that a revision in solid waste servic 13
residential and commercial customers; and 12

c. Roll-off boxes which are not collected a minimum of once-per-week shall be

assessed a stand-by charge of $3.70/day. Customers requiring more than one
collection from a roll-off box shall be refunded the original $45.00 delivery charge. T
