RESOLUTION NO. 2000-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA LIBRARY
LITERACY SERVICE AND APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program provides trainin!
to meet the literacy needs of the adult population; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program supports thc
goals of the City Council and the objectives of the library; and
WHEREAS, the California Library Literacy Service is providing grant support fo
the Adult Literacy Program in the amount of $26,789;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City o
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That state funds in the amount of $26,789 are hereby appropriated to the
Library 1999-2000 Grant Fund.
3. That accrued interest in hereby appropriated to account # 001-4055-7550.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Counci
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 4th day 0'
JANUARY , 2000, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Ha
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE 1
