RESOLUTION NO. 2000-27
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACKNOWLEDGING A DONATION TO THE CARLSBAD
LIBRARY FOUNDATION FROM MR. GEORGE C. GOWLAND
AND APPROVING THE NAMING OF THE MEETING ROOM
IN THE NEW LIBRARY “THE GEORGE AND PATRICIA
GOWLAND MEETING ROOM
WHEREAS, Mr. Gowland wishes to donate $150,000 to the Carlsbad Library

WHEREAS, Mr. Gowland wishes to have the new library meeting room named a
Foundation; and

l2 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
“The George and Patricia Gowland Meeting Room”; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby wishes to designate the meeting room in the
new library as “The George and Patricia Gowland Meeting Room ”;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
