RESOLUTION NO. 2000-41
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE RESCHEDULING OF
THE STREET TREE POLICY COMMITTEE FINAL REPORTING
DATE TO MARCH 7,2000.
WHEREAS, on November 2, 1999, the City Council appointed a 15 member Citi;
6 Committee to study the City’s Street and Sidewalk Policy; and

its recommendations to the City Council including, but not limited to, aesthetics, neighborh 8
WHEREAS, Council directed the Committee to consider all relevant issues in formuk
the like; and 11
applicable laws, including but not limited to Americans with Disabilities Act, Clean Water Act IO
compatibility and preferences, safety, liability, environmental impacts, and to consider g
12 WHEREAS, the Committee was given until February 1, 2000, to make its report to

City Council unless at the request of the Committee it is impractical to do so and Council
determined a different date; and
15 WHEREAS, the Committee has made progress in formulating its recommendatio
16

Council by the February 1, 2000 deadline, but feels more time is needed to thoroughly comp
the report; and
18 WHEREAS, on behalf of the Street and Sidewalk Policy Committee,
19

Committee’s Chairperson is requesting the City Council to reschedule the final reporting dat,
March 7, 2000.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Carlsbat
22 follows:
23 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
24 2. That Resolution No. 99-485 is hereby amended by extending the final repor
25 date from February 1, 2000, to March 7, 2000.

3. Except as amended above, all other terms and conditions of Resolution No. 99-
remain in full force and effect.
