RESOLUTION NO. 2000-51
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE LIBRARY TO PURCHASE COMPUTER
ENHANCED LIGHTING AND WINDOW SAFETY GLAZING AS
PART OF THE COLE LIBRARY REMODEL PROJECT, CITY
PROJECT NUMER 33841
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has previousl)
EQUIPMENT, TASK CHAIRS, DRIVE-UP BOOK DROPS,
appropriated funds for the Cole Library Remodel Project; and
WHEREAS, there needs to be new computer equipment and chairs for bot1
staff and public, a Selfcheck system for circulation of materials, new drive-up boo1
drops, enhanced lighting and safety glazing of all windows as part of the Remode
Project; and
WHEREAS, The City Council hereby finds it necessary and desirable t
authorize the expenditure of previously appropriated funds for these projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City c
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council authorizes the expenditure of $182,000 for computt
equipment, $29,000 for task charis, $31,000 for a Selfcheck system; $7,500 for drivc
up book drops, $10,000 for enhanced lighting and $30,000 for window safety glazing,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Counc
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 8th day
February , 2000, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Lewis,
NOES: None -
ABSENT: None.
