A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO KOSMONT &
ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO COMPLETE A VILLAGE
TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR MASTER PLAN AND REUSE FEASIBILITY
STUDY FOR THE OAK AVENUE PUBLIC WORKS YARD IN THE VILLAGE
REDEVELOPMENT AREA, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH KOSMONT &
ASSOCIATES, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $43,040.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency have a need
desire to complete a Master Plan for that property which lies within the Transportation Corridor of
Village Redevelopment Area as defined in the Village Redevelopment Master Plan and Design Man
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency have a need
desire to complete a Reuse Feasibility Study for the Oak Avenue Public Works Yard to determine hig
and best use for the property once it is vacated by the City of Carlsbad Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined that it requires the professional services
consultant with experience in completing the desired master plan and reuse feasibility study; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has completed a request for proposals and selection proces
identify the consultant most qualified to prepare the desired master plan and reuse feasibility study for
City .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council hereby approves award of a Professional Services Contrac
Kosmont & Associates, Inc. for consultant assistance to complete a Master Plan fot
Village Transportation Corridor and a Reuse Feasibility Study for the Oak Avc
Public Works Yard.
3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a professic
services agreement with Kosmont & Associates, Inc. in an amount not to exc
$43,040 to conduct a Village Transportation Corridor Master Plan and Reuse Feasib
Study for the Oak Avenue Public Works Yard.
