RESOLUTION NO. 2000-152
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING STAFF TO: 1)
PREPARE AN ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY WHICH SPECIFIES
THAT ALL INFILL RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS REQUIRING A
DISCRETIONARY OR ADMINISTRATIVE PERMIT AND
BORDERED ON A MINIMUM OF TWO SIDES BY EXISTING
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT SHALL BE
REQUIRED TO POST PROJECT NOTICES ON THE PROJECT
SITE, AND 2) AMEND THE CITY'S APPLICATION
SITE PROJECT NOTIFICATION SIGNS CONSISTENT WITH
THIS ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY AND TO REQUIRE THE
INFILL RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS.

SUBMITTAL OF PHOTO-SIMULATION EXHIBITS FOR ALL
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, th
April 19, 2000, the Carlsbad City Council conducted a public workshop on Residential
Development and approved two new disclosureheview requirements for all infill residt
projects requiring a discretionary or administrative permit and bordered on a minimum o
sides (property lines) by existing single family residential development including: 1) the PC
of on-site project notices signs and, 2) the submittal of photo-simulation exhibits. The
Council directed staff to process a Resolution for purposes of fully disclosing to the publi
Council's action on this matter and to direct staff to initiate the required activities to implel
these new requirements for residential infill development projects.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby directs staff to prepare an administrative F
which specifies that all infill residential projects requiring a discretionary or administrative pl
and bordered on a minimum of two sides (property lines) by existing single family residc
development shall be required to post project notices on the project site and amend the C
application requirement forms to require the posting of project site notification signs consi:
with this administrative policy; and to require the submittal of photo-simulation exhibits for
residential projects. The Planning Director is directed to prepare said administrative policy
application requirement form amendments.
