1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
CASH DONATION OF NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($900) IN SUPPORT OF
2 THE OPPORTUNITY GRANTS SCHOLARSHIP FUND AND THE SUMMER
DAY CAMP BROCHURE.
3 WHEREAS, the Opportunity Grants Program began the week of June 21, 1999; and
4 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has received a cash donation of three
5 hundred dollars ($300) from George Balteria, $400 from Ken Grody Ford, and $200 from Mission
6 Federal Credit Union; and,
7 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended acceptance of this
8 donation by the City Council; and,
9 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this donation and acknowledge the
1011 g enerosity and support of the community individuals and organizations who donate to this
11 program.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
13 California, the following:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 14
2. That the City Council does hereby accept the financial support totaling nine 15
16 hundred ($900) and authorizes the Finance Director to appropriate the above
17
funds for the specified use.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
18 II City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 2&May of June , 2000, by the following vote to wit:
