CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2000-373
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING $3,200 FROM THE HOUSING TRUST FUND
FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR OPERATION OF THE 2000-01 NORTH
COUNTY EMERGENCY COLD WEATHER SHELTER AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO FORWARD THE APPROPRIATION TO NORTH
COUNTY SOLUTIONS FOR CHANGE.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to cooperate with other local agencies to address the
shelter needs of homeless persons and families; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request for assistance in funding the 2000-01 North County
Emergency Cold Weather Shelter for the homeless, and
WHEREAS, approximately one-hundred and sixty nine individuals from Carlsbad utilized the
1999-2000 Emergency Cold Weather Shelter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council hereby appropriates $3,200 from the Housing Trust Fund as a financial
contribution for the North County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter and authorizes the City Manager to
forward the contribution to North County Solutions for Change.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carl&ad,
California, on the 12th day of December 9 2000, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nyqaard and Kulchin.
NOES: None
