HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-12-12; City Council; Resolution 2000-3781 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 26 EXHIBIT 1 II RESOLUTION NO. 2000-378 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE A COMPUTERIZED MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR FLEET MAINTENANCE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS II WHEREAS, staff conducted an extensive research and analysis for a comprehensive and advanced Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for Fleet Maintenance; and WHEREAS, the City’s Purchasing Officer waived the requirements for multiple proposals because of the technical nature of the CMMS; and WHEREAS, the evaluation team selected a vendor whose proposal contains the most advantageous combination of price, proven performance and services; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. The contract with Bender Engineering to provide a Computerized Maintenance Management System is hereby approved and the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute a purchase order for this project. 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $32,400 from the General Fund contingency account to pay for this project. 4. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract for and on behalf of the City of Carlsbad with Bender Engineering for a Computerized Maintenance Management System. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council held on the 12thday of December I 2000 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Memb Hall, Finnila, Nygaard and Kulchin. h-w WOOD, City Clerk (SEAL) 3
