RESOLUTION NO. 2001-2.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA LIBRARY
LITERACY SERVICE, APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS AND
ALLOCATING THE ACCRUED INTEREST.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program provides
training to meet the literacy needs of the adult population; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Adult Learning Program supports the
goals of the City Council and the objectives of the library; and
WHEREAS, the California Library Literacy Service is providing grant support
for the Adult Literacy Program in the amount of $24,861;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That state funds in the amount of $24,861 are hereby appropriated to the
Library 2000-2001 Grant Fund.
3. That accrued interest on the 1999-2000 Grant Funds is hereby
appropriated to the Adult Learning Program general fund account # 001-4055-7550.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 9th
day of January I 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
