RESOLUTION NO. 2001-3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR
CARLSBAD TRACT 89-l 3, THE HAMPTONS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PROCESS THE MAP FOR
RECORDING.
WHEREAS, Mary Ferrero, successor trustee of the Nino and Lea Ferrer0 Family Trust,
and Jack N. Spirtos and Penelope Spirtos, trustees under an April 13, 1984 trust agreement,
have submitted a final map known as Carlsbad Tract 89-13 to the City of Carlsbad for approval;
and
WHEREAS, the tentative map of Carlsbad Tract 89-13 with conditions, was approved by
the Planning Commission on February 21, 1990, pursuant to Resolution No. 2983; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did on March 27, 1990 after hearing an appeal of the
II Planning Commission’s decision, adopt Resolution No. 90-80 approving the tentative map; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did on August 4, 1992 per Resolution No. 92-244 and again
on May 18, 1993 per Resolution No. 93-137 grant one year extensions of the tentative map; and
WHEREAS, the State of California granted a two year extension and a one year
extension to all active tentative maps; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on April 1, 1998 per Resolution No. 4246 grant
a two year extension of the tentative map; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has determined that said map substantially
conforms to said conditionally approved tentative map; and
WHEREAS, the conditions of approval for said final map have been completed or
secured; and
WHEREAS, the developer has offered public street and public easements for dedication
to the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the final map conforms to the City of Carlsbad General Plan and all
requirements of City Codes and Standards; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determined it to be in the public
interest to approve said final map; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That said final map known as Carlsbad Tract 89-13, The Hamptons, which is on
file with the Public Works Director and is incorporated herein by reference, is accepted.
3. That the City accepts the dedications shown on the final map-
4. That the City Clerk is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance on the final
map.
5. That the City Clerk is authorized to cause the original final map to be recorded in
the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of California.
6. That the City Clerk is authorized to release the map to Chicago Title Company for
recording in the Office of the County Recorder.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 9th day of January , 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall.
