RESOLUTION NO 2001-41 =------
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE CARLSBAD ARTS
ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Arts Office provides “a variety of quality cultural programs,
including all forms of visual and performing arts, to all Carlsbad residents”; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Carlsbad Arts Associates is to support the programs of the
Carlsbad Arts Office; and
WHEREAS, this program complies with the City Council goal “to enhance educational
opportunities for all segments of the community.“; and
WHEREAS, the Carisbad Arts Associates is providing funds in the amount of $12,000
1 to assist with the City’s summer jazz concert series.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, as
I follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the donation of $12,000 from the Carlsbad Arts Associates is accepted.
3. That the funds are hereby deposited into the Arts Office’s Special Events account.
1 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the -1_3_t_hday of February , 2001, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaqd and Hall.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
