RESOLUTION NO. 2001-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DELEGATING THE RESPONSIBILITY
OF MAINTENANCE, MONITORING AND APPROVAL OF MINOR
PLAN CHANGES OF HEALTH PLAN CONTRACTS TO THE CITY
MANAGER, OR HIS/HER DESIGNEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to contract with various providers
for the provision of health and welfare benefits for City employees;
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to delegate the responsibility of
the maintenance, monitoring and approval of minor plan changes to the City’s health plan
contracts;
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to delegate this responsibility to the City
Manager, or his/her designee;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council delegates the responsibility of the maintenance,
monitoring and approval of minor health plan changes to the City Manager, or his/her
designee.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council, held on this 20th day of February 2001, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
