RESOLUTION NO. 2001-67
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
HUNSAKER & ASSOCIATES FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING SERVICES FOR BOUNDARY ANALYSIS,
SURVEY MONUMENTATION, AND PREPARATION OF RECORD
MAPS FOR THE CITY BOUNDARY AND CONTROL NETWORK
MONUMENTATION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 3571.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department requested Statements of Qualifications to
provide professional engineering and surveying services for boundary analysis, survey
monumentation and preparation of record maps from seven private firms interested in providing
engineering and surveying services for the City Boundary and Control Network Monumentation
Project, Project No. 3571, and received responses from four firms and after review of the
proposals, staff is recommending Hunsaker & Associates as the best qualified firm for boundary
analysis, survey monumentation and preparation of record maps based on their experience and
expertise on similar types of project; and
WHEREAS, total project cost estimated for boundary analysis, survey monumentation and
preparation of record maps is $132,672; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $150,000 have been previously appropriated for
the City Boundary and Control Network Monumentation Project and there are sufficient funds
available for this project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the agreement with Hunsaker & Associates for engineering and surveying
services for boundary analysis, survey monumentation and preparation of record maps for the
City Boundary and Control Network Monumentation Project, a copy of which is attached as
Exhibit 2, is hereby approved.

1 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement for engineering
2 and surveying services with Hunsaker & Associates for boundary analysis, survey
3 monumentation and preparation of record maps.

5 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
