A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING OUT-OF-STATE
TRAVEL FOR PLANNING STAFF PARTICIPATION IN THE
AMERICAN SHORE AND BEACH PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON
follows:
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby resolve as
WHEREAS, Senior Planner Eric Munoz has been invited to participate at the
American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) National Conference in
Washington DC regarding the city’s lagoons and the coastal partnerships that affect them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with staffs request to authorize out-of-state
travel for Senior Planner Munoz to attend and present at the ASBPA National Conference in
Washington DC on May 13-16, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That out of state travel is hereby authorized, in accordance with City
policy, for Senior Planner Munoz to attend the ASBPA National Conference in Washington DC,
May 13-I 6, 2001.
3. That the City Council hereby approves the expenditure of approximately
!$2,200.00, from the Planning Department budget to cover the associated travel costs for this
conference.

PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 10th day of April , 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall.
NOES: None.
