A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
GVP CONSULTANTS FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING
SERVICES.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has reviewed and
6 determined the need for the utilization of engineering consultant services on an ongoing, as-
7 needed basis in order to maintain service levels; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined GVP Consultants has the necessary
9 skills to fulfil1 the City’s need for professional engineering services; and,
10 WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that GVP Consultants is uniquely
I1 qualified to provide professional engineering services because of their experience with City policy
12 and procedures; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to maintain the continuity of work in

progress by utilizing GVP Consultants, to provide Professional Engineering services.
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Officer has waived the requirement for multiple proposals;
and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That an agreement with GVP Consultants, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A,
and made a part hereof, is hereby approved.
3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement with GVP
Consultants.
