RESOLUTION NO.2001-180
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A GIFT OF
$5,000 FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY AND
APPROPRIATING DONATION TO THE LIBRARY GIFTS
AND BEQUESTS FUND.
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Carlsbad Library have donated $5,000 to
the library, and;
WHEREAS, the library and the Friends have agreed that this donation
will be used to purchase books for the Centro de Information;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $5,000 from the Friends
of the Library on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates
these funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 26th day of
June , 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUnCil Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard, and Hall.
NOES: None.
ABSENT:None.
