RESOLUTION NO. 2001-240
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS, STREET
LIGHTING AND MEDIAN LANDSCAPING ON ALGA ROAD FROM
EL CAMINO REAL TO EL FUERTE; FINDING OF ENVIRONMENTAL
COMPLIANCE AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS,
PROJECT NOS. 3560.3616 AND 3637.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has reviewed, analyzed and
:onsidered the Notice of Exemption for this project that was filed on June 22, 1998; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the construction of sidewalks, street lighting and
nedian landscaping on Alga Road from El Camino Real to El Fuerte, Project Nos. 3560, 3616
and 3637 have been prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of
zarlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
zalifornia, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act as a
Class 1 Categorical Exemption and the Planning Director filed a Notice of
Exemption on June 22, 1998 and a Notice of Determination was issued
That plans and specifications are hereby approved.

1 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to

~ proceed to publish, in accordance with law, Notice to Contractors inviting bids for the construction
of sidewalks, street lighting and median landscaping on Alga Road from El Camino Real to
El Fuerte, Project Nos. 3560, 3616 and 3637, in accordance with the plans and specifications
hereinabove referred to.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 7th day of Aucrust 1 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Nygaard and Hall.
NOES: None.
