HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-08-21; City Council; Resolution 2001-2561 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-256 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL FOR PURCHASING DEPARTMENT STAFF WHEREAS, attendance at the “Summit on Best Practices in Procurement for Cities, Counties and Municipalities” by a Purchasing Department staff member will increase the knowledge base resources in that department. WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to authorize out-of- state travel for a Purchasing Department staff member to attend this training. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct 2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized, in accordance with City policy, for a Purchasing Department staff member to attend training at the “Summit on Best Practices in Procurement for Cities, Counties and Municipalities” conference in Las Vegas Nevada. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of August 9 2001, by the following vote: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila, and Hall. NOES: None- ABSENT: None. Al-TEST: 1
