A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD AND SUBRECIPIENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE 2001-2002
CARLSBAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, on March 20, 2001, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California selected
programs to receive funding under the City’s 2001-2002 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
program; and
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has considered the required
subrecipient agreements for 2001-2002 Community Development Block Grant funds; and

WHEREAS, the City has determined that these Community Development Block Grant funded
activities will have no significant impact on the environment or are exempt from environmental review
under 24 CFR Sections 58.34 (a)(4-12); and

11 WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council hereby approves the 2001-2002Community Development Block Grant
Subrecipient Agreements, on file with the City Clerk’s Office, for the following subrecipients
and activities:

Brother Benno Foundation/Brother Benno Center
Casa De Amparo/Shelter for Abused Children
Fraternity House/Residential Care for AIDS Patients
From the Inside Out/Youth program
North County Lifeline/Housing Services
North Coastal Service Center/Emergency Housing Program
North County Community Services/Food Bank
North County Council on Aging/Support Services for Seniors
Join Hands-Save a Life/Youth Program
Catholic Charities/La Posada de Guadalupe Shelter
Heartland Human Relations/Fair Housing Program
Bridge Housing Corporation/Education & Opportunities Program
Community Resource Center/Homeless Prevention Program
North County Lifeline/General Social Services
Catholic Charities/Fence for La Posada de Guadalupe
Women’s Resource Center/Shelter for Abused Women
North County Health Services/Health Screening and Immunizations
Join Hands-Save a Life/Construction of Youth Facility

3. That the Mayor is authorized to sign the Subrecipient Agreements on behalf of the City of
Carlsbad.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, on the 21st day of Auqust , 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
