RESOLUTION NO. 2001-261
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF A FIRE TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad wishes to replace an old fire truck, and;
WHEREAS, Section 3.28.160 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code provides that the City may participate
in cooperative purchasing programs with other public agencies, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Mountain View used formal bidding procedures, with a public agency clause,
to purchase a Seagraves fire truck , and;
WHEREAS, Seagraves has offered to sell the City of Carlsbad a Seagraves fire truck for
$368,306.83
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. The Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order to
Seagraves Fire Apparatus Inc. in the amount of $368,306.83including sales tax.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad held on the 21st day of August , 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila, and Hall.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
