RESOLUTION NO. 2001-298
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
SAN DIEGO GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR THE
RELOCATION OF A TRANSMISSION LINE WITHIN THE
CANNON ROAD WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY, PROJECT NO. 3184.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has reviewed the need for
the relocation of the San Diego Gas and Electric transmission lines and determined it to be in the
best interest of the Cannon Road project to relocate the transmission line with the Cannon Road
grading; and
WHEREAS, a mutually satisfactory agreement for the relocation has been negotiated with
San Diego Gas and Electric Company agreement (the “Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to have the transmission line
relocated; and
WHEREAS, the project is in full compliance with the California Environmental Quality
Act; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement with San Diego Gas and Electric has been prepared and
submitted hereto; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to approve the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Agreement, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 3 and made a part
II hereof, is hereby approved.

3. That sufficient funds are available for the relocation of the San Diego Gas and
Electric transmission line.
4. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Agreement.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 25th day of September , 2001 by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, and Hall.
