HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-12-11; City Council; Resolution 2001-3671 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution Nos. 5043, OWgj z/,0 aOaa 14 5032 and 5025 recommending approval of the three General Plan Amendments; and ia 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-367 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN FOR GPA 01-05 / GPA 01-07 / GPA 98-05 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, on September 19,200l and October 17,2001, the Planning Commission held duly noticed public hearings to consider the General Plan Amendments Pacifrca Palomar Office Building GPA 01-05, Palomar Forum GPA 01-07 and Carlsbad Raceway Industrial Park GPA 98-05 and the related environmental review, respectively; and WHEREAS, the City Council on November 6,200l and December 4, 2001, held duly noticed public hearings to consider the Planning Commission’s recommendations and to hear all persons interested in the proposed changes to the General Plan and the related environmental review; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad wishes to consolidate the proposed changes to the General Plan GPA 01-05, GPA 01-07 and GPA 98-05 into a single amendment constituting the fourth General Plan Amendment of 2001. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That this is one of the four permitted amendments to a mandatory element of the General Plan consisting of three changes as follows: 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 la 19 20 21 22 23 24 NOES: None 25 ABSENT: None 26 27 ( 28 1 a. That the Land Use and Open Space and Conservation 2 Elements of the General Plan for the project commonly known as Pacifica Palomar are amended as shown on Exhibit GPA 01-05 dated September 19, 2001 and attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, and as provided in City Council Resolution No. 2001-334 (on file in the office of the City Clerk). b. That the Land Use and Open Space and Conservation Elements of the General Plan for the project commonly known as the Palomar Forum are amended as shown on Exhibit GPA 01-07 dated December 4, 2001, attached hereto as Exhibit “B”, and as provided in City Council Resolution No. 2001-352 (on file in the office of the City Clerk). c. . That the Land Use and Open Space and Conservation Elements of the General Plan for the project commonly known as the Carlsbad Raceway Business Park are amended as shown on Exhibit GPA 98-05 dated December 4, 2001, attached hereto as Exhibit “C”, and as provided in City Council Resolution No. 2001-351 (on file in the office of the City Clerk). 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption, except as to the General Plan Amendment, which shall be effective thirty (30) days ~ following its adoption.
