RESOLUTION NO. 2001-374
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE PHASE 2
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GEORGINA COLE LIBRARY AS
COMPLETE, DIRECTING THE RECORDATION OF THE
NOTICE OF COMPLETION, AND DIRECTING THE RETURN
OF THE FINAL PROJECT RETENTION-
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has previously awarded
a contract for the construction of the second phase of the Georgina Cole Library Remodel, City
Project No, 33841; and
WHEREAS, said project construction has been recently completed in accordance with
the terms and conditions of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find it necessary, desirable, and in the public
interest to accept the aforementioned improvements to the Georgina Cole Library as complete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the improvements to the Georgina Cole Library are hereby deemed complete and
accepted by the City of Carlsbad and the City Clerk is directed to record the Notice of
Completion.

3. That the Finance Director is hereby directed to return to the project contractor the City
held retention in the amount of $68,242.26 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the
project contract.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad on the 18th day of DECEMBER ,2001, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard, Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: No
