RESOLUTION NO. 2001-375
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR
BIDS FOR CHESTNUT AVENUE PARKWAY IMPROVEMENTS,
PROJECT NO. 3851.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determined it
necessary and in the public interest to approve plans and specifications, and to authorize
publishing an advertisement for bids for the Chestnut Avenue Parkway Improvement, Project No.
3851; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient General Capital Construction funds available in the project
account for construction of this project; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the Chestnut Avenue Parkway Improvement,
Project No. 3851 have been prepared by the engineering staff, are incorporated herein by
reference, and are available for review in the Engineering Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications and cost estimate prepared by the engineering staff
and on tile in the Engineering Department are hereby approved.

3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish, in accordance with
Section 3.28.080 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, the Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for
Chestnut Avenue.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 18th day of DECEMBER , 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finniladygaard, Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
