RESOLUTION NO. 2001-379
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SETTING THE DATE, TIME, AND
PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO ESTABLISH CONNECTION
FEE FOR EL CAMINO REAL SEWER.
WHEREAS, the City has determined that certain properties along El Camino Real from
Tamarack Avenue to Chestnut Avenue presently do not have access to a public sewer system
for sewer service; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that an 8-inch diameter sewer pipeline would be
needed to provide sewer service to the benefiting properties which include 20 parcels of land;
and
WHEREAS, the cost of the project has been estimated at $418,000 to construct 4,280
feet of 8-inch diameter PVC pipe, manholes and laterals; and
WHEREAS, the project would be funded through a loan of $418,000 from the
Sewer Replacement Fund with the understanding that the replacement fund would be
reimbursed by each benefiting property owner through a sewer benefit area fee program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the establishment of a
connection fee for the El Camino Real Sewer, which will be used to fund construction of the
sewer facilities, which cannot be funded by Sewer Connection Fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 18th day of DECEMBER , 2001 by the following vote, to
wit:
