RESOLUTION NO. 2002-255
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE CARLSBAD ARTS
ASSOCIATFS AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Carlsbad Arts Associates is to support the programs of
the City's Cultural Arts Office; and
WHEREAS, the Arts Associates is donating funds in the amount of $13,000 to support
the William D. Cannon Art Gallery and its programs; and
WHEREAS, the donated funds will be used to provide for an education curriculum and
related art classes as well as assist with upcoming and future Gallery exhibits and programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, as
follows:
2. That the donation of $13,000 from the Carlsbad Arts Associates is accepted.
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate the $13,000 donation
into the Cultural Arts Gallery account.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the mhday of SEPTEMBER , 2002, by the
following vote, to wit:
